PRF/PRP Platelet-Rich Fibrin

What is PRF/PRP Platelet-Rich Fibrin?

As we age, the production and level of growth factors in our cells decrease. Growth factors are a potent active ingredient for skin rejuvenation and anti-aging. Growth factors stimulate your skin cells to produce more collagen and elastin. These components are the foundation of firmer, smoother, healthier, younger looking skin. A PRF is a Platelet-Rich Fibrin that is obtained from your own whole blood sample. It is an autologous blood concentrate, 100% natural, free of additives and chemicals and packed with powerful cells for skin rejuvenation purposes. The process works by isolating your own regenerative cells using a slow and short centrifugation process. These cells will then be used for skin improvement purposes.

Why is Platelet -Rich Fibrin/PRF better than traditional PRP?

Platelet-Rich Fibrin/PRF procedure is a second-generation concentrate that does not require the use of any additive nor anti-coagulants to unlock the body’s natural healing properties. It uses the latest technologies to maximize the body’s natural response without damaging the body’s environment.

Platelets and white blood cells are two important producers of growth factors that are essential for the rejuvenation process.

The plasma, composed mostly of water and proteins also plays an important role in obtaining the Ultimate Blood Concentrate. Once removed from its natural environment, plasma coagulates, and the fibrin scaffold starts to form. This network of proteins will keep the blood cells more active, allowing for a longer, slower, and more durable release growth factors.

What is the procedure like?

The procedure to obtain a Platelet-Rich Fibrin/PRF is very easy. First, a small sample of your blood is collected. The tube of the blood sample is then spun in machine called a centrifuge. The centrifugation of the blood when the blood is spun to separate your red blood cells from everything else. The centrifugal force generated pushes the heavier red blood cells to the bottom of the tube. Once the centrifugation is complete, the top layer of the tube’s content is collected. This layer is composed of your very own platelets and white blood cells. This is known as the Ultimate Blood Concentrate!
